This Halloween, two cultural icons collided once again! Rebellious wine brand 19 Crimes and Universal Monsters.
For the third year running, this global collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences brought to life a new range of limited-edition glow-in-the-dark Halloween labels. Featuring three of Universal Products & Experiences’ most infamous characters: Frankenstein’s Monster, The Bride of Frankenstein, and The Mummy.
Behind the hauntingly brilliant labels that light up shelves and smartphones alike is our All4Labels Leeds team. Delivering eye-catching printed labels that truly encapsulate the spirit of 19 Crimes’ rebellious storytelling and Universal Pictures’ timeless horror icons.
The Challenge: Bringing Monsters to Life
After two successful seasonal Halloween product launches, 19 Crimes set out to make 2025 their most ambitious Halloween campaign yet. One that would stand out globally and turn collectors’ expectations on their head.
The challenge? To create a label that glows, interacts, and engages while maintaining the same premium finish and visual consistency across multiple SKUs and international markets.
Each label needed to seamlessly blend special effect printing, AR-enabled storytelling, and high-impact design to deliver an experience as bold as the brand itself.
The Solution: Print Innovation with a Dark Side
To deliver this ambitious vision, 19 Crimes partnered with All4Labels UK, whose advanced print capabilities and technical expertise made it possible to bring these monsters out of the shadows – literally!

Each label was printed with a glow-in-the-dark effect, creating a striking visual presence both in daylight and under dim light. This special finish, applied with precision, ensured every detail — from Frankenstein’s Monster’s bolts to The Bride of Frankenstein’s iconic hair streak — remained vivid even when the lights went out.
But the magic didn’t stop there. Every bottle is also equipped with an augmented reality (AR) experience, something which 19 Crimes is known for. This interactive, consumer-engaging feature is activated by scanning the code on the label. Consumers are taken to watch Frankenstein’s Monster, The Bride of Frankenstein, and The Mummy come to life, merging film, art, and technology in one immersive moment.
Through close collaboration between 19 Crimes’ creative team, Universal Products & Experiences, and All4Labels UK’s print specialists, the result was a technically demanding, yet flawlessly executed, global launch.
“All4Labels really helped us bring the 19 Crimes and Universal Products & Experiences’ vision to life with standout packaging.” Said Kate Pickles, Assistant Brand Manager. “Their support, especially on the glow-in-the-dark finish, helped us create something bold and truly disruptive on shelf.”
The Results: A Global Halloween Phenomenon
The 2025 limited-edition release quickly became sought-after. With bottles hitting shelves in cities from London to Los Angeles and Sydney to Stockholm.
Each glow-in-the-dark label stood out as both a collectable item and a conversation starter. Capturing the imagination of wine lovers and horror fans worldwide.
“Three years in, this collaboration has grown into something truly iconic,” said Jon Solimando, Global Director at 19 Crimes. “Fans have sought out these wines since the first year we launched them and continue to demand more from this partnership. Universal Monsters have captured imaginations worldwide, and we’re not only celebrating these legendary characters but also continuing 19 Crimes’ mission to push boundaries and redefine how people experience wine.”
“Following the huge success of the 19 Crimes and Universal Products & Experiences collaboration in the U.S. and Australia, we wanted fans in new markets to get their hands on the most wanted wine bottles in town.” added Chantal McDowell, International Marketing Manager at 19 Crimes.
This Halloween, 19 Crimes and Universal Products & Experiences didn’t just deliver a seasonal promotion. They delivered a global phenomenon that redefined what wine packaging can be.
Why It Matters: Where Packaging Meets Pop Culture
The 19 Crimes x Universal Monsters collection exemplifies how packaging innovation can transcend the bottle.
By combining special effect printing, AR storytelling, and global-scale production consistency, All4Labels UK helped 19 Crimes push creative and technical boundaries. Transforming packaging into an interactive storytelling medium.
This project is a testament to how brands can use label design and innovative print technology to build immersive experiences, fuel fandom, and drive global engagement.
