A Bold Limited-Edition Valentine’s Day Label for 19 Crimes

At All4Labels, we bring unparalleled global expertise to the wine and spirits market. With long-term experience, a strong international footprint, and a passion for innovation, we partner with some of the world’s most prestigious brands to craft exceptional packaging solutions. Partnering with Treasury Wine Estates on a limited-edition Valentine’s Day wine label for their iconic 19 Crimes brand, the All4Labels UK Leeds team set out to create something truly extraordinary.

Our objective was clear: to create a unique, engaging label with personalised elements within the packaging design that sparks consumer interaction and align with 19 Crimes’ bold brand.

Breaking Convention with 19 Crimes

19 Crimes is known for its rebellious and unconventional brand identity. This Valentine’s edition label embodied that ethos by embracing relationships that break from tradition. Consumers could gift a bottle of 19 Crimes wine with a personalised, heartfelt message written on the bottle, making it a unique and meaningful gift.

Limited-edition packaging is a great way to create memorable moments. It tells stories, generates buzz around a brand, and strengthens the connection between products and consumers. The 19 Crimes limited Valentine’s edition also encouraged consumers to get their hands on a bottle before they were gone.

Bringing the Label to Life

The All4Labels UK Leeds team collaborated closely with Treasury Wine Estates to ensure the label design captured the brand’s distinct visual style and retained the technical features that make 19 Crimes wine labels stand out.

To produce this label, an 8-color flexo print was used to create the image. A spot ultra-matt varnish was applied to protect the overall label, with one area intentionally left varnish-free (more on that feature below). A high-build gloss screen was used to create the raised embellishments.

A 485 red Pantone background was incorporated to ensure colour consistency; if this was to be printed using CMYK, variations may occur when printing the main character.

Personalisation Meets Technical Precision

A standout technical feature of this label was the varnish-free area on the front. Designed for consumers to handwrite a personal Valentine’s message on the label with a ballpoint pen. This interactive element encouraged emotional engagement with the brand.

Alongside the above complex design elements, All4Labels maintained the strong 19 Crimes identity while incorporating a fine, detailed, and intricate design, including a gloss high-build screen over the 19 Crimes text and crown, with a similar look to their core range of products.

The result? A stunning, interactive label that sparked an emotional connection while staying true to the bold and disruptive 19 Crimes brand.
